Tenley Gummelt
M.A., LPC

Tenley earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in French from Baylor University. She later received her Master’s degree in Christian Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. Tenley’s interest in counseling began early in life after attending a support group in elementary school that focused on children of divorce. Through this experience, she developed a desire to help others. She has a wide range of experience working with women, teenagers, and their families in various settings including schools, hospitals, churches and private practice.
Tenley enjoys working with adults and teenagers in a warm and compassionate environment. She incorporates her Christian faith with an honest and straightforward approach to counseling, utilizing various counseling techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Therapy.
Born and raised in Dallas, Tenley is the youngest of six siblings. Tenley’s husband, Corey, is a Youth Pastor and she enjoys taking an active role alongside him. Tenley loves spending time with her husband and son, and watching Baylor Football with friends.
“Tenley helped me alleviate the pain from my past. She helped me to understand it, learn from it, and move beyond it by giving me tools I still use on a daily basis. I no longer walk around thinking there is something wrong with me!”
