Tenley Gummelt
M.A., LPC

Tenley’s interest in counseling began early in life after attending a support group in elementary school that focused on children of divorce. Through this experience, she developed a desire to help those with dysfunctional family issues. She has a wide range of experience working with women, teenagers, and their families while helping them understand and navigate various difficulties. Tenley provides productive support while maintaining a high level of dignity and care for the individual and family system as a whole.
Tenley enjoys working with adults and teenagers in a warm and compassionate environment. She incorporates her Christian faith with an honest and straightforward approach to counseling, utilizing various counseling techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Therapy.
Born and raised in Dallas, Tenley is the youngest of six siblings. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is a devoted Baylor University football fan. Tenley and her husband, Corey, lead the youth ministry at their church, where she also sings with the worship band.
“Tenley helped me alleviate the pain from my past. She helped me to understand it, learn from it, and move beyond it by giving me tools I still use on a daily basis. I no longer walk around thinking there is something wrong with me!”
