James Caldwell completed his undergraduate work in Psychology at Southwest Texas State University and taught high school biology and psychology for four years. He later received his master’s degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas and is a member of the American Counseling Association.

James offers individual (adolescent and adult), family, group and marriage counseling. His areas of special interest and training are depression, anxiety/panic attacks/phobias, self-injury, stress management and parenting. James also has experience as an Intervention Specialist for the Richardson Independent School District, where he has worked with "at risk" adolescents experiencing a wide range of problems including depression, social phobias, ADD/ADHD, authority issues, substance abuse, truancy and divorce. For more than 12 years, he has also been making presentations at schools and conventions across the state on issues including bullying, power struggles and raising responsible children.

James was born and raised in McKinney, where he now lives. He enjoys camping, jogging, football and playing the drums.
